Deve Gowda has Instructed to Support Congress in DK to defeat BJP in LS Polls – JD(S)
Mangaluru: “JD(S) party chief Deve Gowda has instructed all the party workers in Dakshina Kannada to start the election campaign in and support the Congress candidate to win the Lok Sabha Polls. In this connection, we have already started our campaign in Puttur, Bantwal, Beltangady, Vittal etc. Nalin Kumar Kateel has failed to complete the development projects and the people are fed up with him. We will follow the instructions of our chief and work hard for the victory of the Congress candidate in the LS polls”, said the District President of JD(S) Mohammed Kunhi in a press meet held at Hotel Woodlands here on March 16.
Addressing the mediapersons Mohammed Kunhi said, “During the tenure as MP for two terms, Nalin Kumar has failed to complete the flyover work in Thokkottu and Pumpwell. When Karthik was murdered he had threatened of setting the district on fire. The then police commissioner Chandra Sekhar took this murder case as a challenge and cracked the case. Nalin Kumar had even protested along with the murder accused where he had delivered a speech and threatened of setting the district on fire. 5 years ago during the Lok Sabha elections, Nalin had said that if the BJP wins the elections he would the dollar rate down to Rs 15 but it is quite the opposite now. One MP of the BJP had said that he would set up train service from Mysuru – Coorg but they have failed to keep their promises.”
Mohammed Kunhi further said, “After the coalition government in Karnataka came to power, chief minister Kumaraswamy has given good governance. The CM released funds to the farmers which have already been deposited in their accounts to deal with the Yellow leaf disease. The farmers are now very happy for the step taken by the CM. After the Coalition government came to power, appointed honest police officers in the state, no incidents of communal violence in the state have taken place. Nalin Kumar’s failures in his tenure will bring victory to the opposition in the Lok Sabha elections”.
Speaking to the mediapersons former JD(S) District President M B Sadashiv said, “The BJP leaders are hell-bent on changing the constitution which is a dangerous sign. This time we need to open a new chapter by helping the Congress candidate win the elections. We also need to introduce a new face who can represent us in Delhi. We will be totally involved this time for campaigning forgetting all party differences. After Kumaraswamy became the CM, Rs 25 to 35000 has been remitted in the account of every farmer facing problems with the yellow leaf disease.”
M B Sadashiv further said, “Now the farmers are very happy with the coalition government because the Central government led by Modi did not fulfil any of the promises made during the last LS polls. We will join hands with the Congress and campaign in Dakshina Kannada so that the Congress candidate will win the LS polls. During the campaign, we will bring awareness among the people about the price hike of diesel and Petrol, bankruptcy of many banks and the failure of Nalin Kumar.”
