Mangaluru: “To mark the decennial Pattabisheka of Shree Brahmananda Saraswathi Swamiji, a Dharma Sansad will be held on September 3 at Shree Rama Kshetra, Kanyadi Dharmsthala. The Sansad will be under the able leadership of Shree Brahmananda Saraswathi Swamiji. We have invited Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala De Veerendra Heggade. More than 2000 Swamijis from Badari, Kedara, Gangotri, Nemisharanya, Chitrakuta, Ujjayini, Allahabad, Nasik, Rameshwar, Assam, Kerala, Tamilnadu and other countries will be taking part in the Dharma Sansad”, said Shree Brahmananda Saraswathi Swamiji in a press meet held at Hotel Janatha Deluxe, Pathumudi here on July 10.
Addressing the mediapersons Shree Brahmananda Saraswathi Swamiji said, “The values of Sanatana Dharma is our asset, but nowadays our children lack those values. We have a good education but have failed to inculcate the values in us. Parents give good education to their children and after their education, they get a good job with handsome salary. Educated couples cannot lead a happy married life and they divorce because they lack spiritual knowledge. To get the spiritual knowledge we need to read the Bhagavadgeetha, Ramayan and Mahabharat”.
Swamiji also said, “During the Dharma Sansad we will discuss including moral values in the curriculum. From PUC to Degree a moral values subject is a must for students. We the Swamijis will discuss forming a “Lok Kalyan Manch” and will bring it to the notice of the government. Through the Dharma Sansad, we will also demand the government to start Anganawadi schools of Gurukul model in every village within 10 years for the welfare of the future generation. Textbooks from Primary school to College “Bharatiya Shastra Dharshana”, should have subjects on the history, tradition, humanity and Sanatana Dharma of our country. We need to mold the younger generation into disciplined citizens so that we can transform our country into a model to the world”.
Satyajit Suratkal, Chittaranjan Garodi, Mohan Ujjodi, Lohith, Tukaram and Praveen Valke were also present.
