Dhoni biopic reaffirms faith in youth from small towns: Anupam Kher
Mumbai, Sep 29 (IANS) Veteran actor Anupam Kher is proud to be a part of the biopic “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story” and says the film reaffirms trust in today’s youth from small towns.
“‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ makes you believe in power of hard work. It reaffirms your faith in today’s youth from small towns. Story Of India,” Anupam tweeted on Wednesday night.
The 61-year-old, who is essaying Dhoni’s father in the film, added: “Overwhelmed and overjoyed to be part of Neeraj Pandey’s ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’. It’ll inspire generations to achieve excellence. Story Of India,” he added.
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput will be seen essaying the titular role of Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the film, releasing on Friday,
Produced by Fox Star Studios and Inspired Entertainment, it has been shot extensively in Ranchi.

Sonali binges on fantasy fiction during hard periods
Actress Sonali Bendre says whenever she goes through a stressful period, she reads fantasy fiction books.
The actress, who had penned the book “The Modern Gurukul: My Experiments with Parenting” last year, attended the launch of author Anusha Subramanian’s book “Never Gone” on Wednesday at the Crossword Bookstores here.
Asked is there is any particular genre that she would like to read or would want her son Ranveer to read, she said: “Whenever I go through a stressful or hard period, I binge on fantasy fiction, come out refreshed and face the world. There are lot of genres that I read depending on what catches my attention, but ever since I became a mother, the reading habit has become kind of dodgy…”
As far as her son is concerned, she is just happy “if he reads whatever he reads is great because I love books”.
“My father was in the government service and we would get transferred every two years. My best friends have been my books. I felt that I could relate to a lot of stuff and mentally, I could deal with a lot of stuff because I was reading so much so I would love him to have this habit,” said the actress, who became a mother in 2005.

Raveena believes in correct treatment of animals
Actress Raveena Tandon, who is known to be an ardent animal lover, believes animals should be treated with love and care.
Asked if she feels the country needs to make stricter laws to protect animals, Raveena told IANS: “I think it’s very important to live in a country where treatment of animals is done correctly because that is reflective of you as a person.”
Her comment comes at a pertinent time when stone-pelting at dogs and atrocities against stray dogs has become rampant in the country.
The 41-year-old actress was last seen on screen in filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s 2015 film “Bombay Velvet”.
Asked what’s next for her, Raveena said: “Onir’s ‘Shab’ and Ashtar Sayed’s ‘Matr’. There are a couple of other interesting scripts I am reading. You have to wait for the official announcements.”
Talking about ‘Shab’, Raveena said the film “is an emotional story”.
“I play a high society woman who is in a relationship with a younger man,” she said.
