Doha, Aug 3 (IANS) Argentine international Angel di Maria joined his future teammates from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) here on Monday to undergo a medical examination before being announced as a new player of the French football club.
The 27-year-old winger arrived here and will need to pass medical examinations before his signing from Manchester United becomes official, reports Efe.
PSG, coached by Laurent Blanc and owned by Qatar Sports Investment, are in Doha as part of their pre-season tour which has also taken Sweden’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the United States.
According to reports, di Maria would likely join PSG sometime in the week for 63 million euros without ‘bonuses’.
Di Maria’s transfer, the most important in the summer for PSG, will be accompanied by a salary of 11 million euros for each of the four seasons that di Maria will spend in Paris.
