Dion D’Souza Kalmady Elected President of ICYM Udupi Diocese
Udupi: Dion D’Souza from Kalmady parish of Udupi zone, has been unanimously elected as the president of Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Udupi diocese for the year 2018-19.
Dion D’Souza was elected during the annual meeting and elections for new office bearers held at the Don Bosco Hall, Mother of Sorrows church here. Fr Edwin D’Souza, director of ICYM Udupi diocese, conducted the elections as the Election officer.

Organization director Fr Edwin D’Souza administered the oath to the new office bearers.
Chief guest and director of Udupi diocese Social Service Commission, Fr Reginald Pinto speaking on the occasion said, “Youth leaders should work for the betterment of youth. In the future, Sampada (social service commission of Udupi) will work hand in hand with ICYM.”
The day started with the Holy Eucharistic Mass, followed by a training session for elected ICYM unit office bearers conducted by Fr Alwyn Serrao, Principal of Padua College, Mangalore.
Former Animator Walter D’Souza and other office bearers were present. Former president Sharlin D’Sa welcomed. Renson Alva read the annual report. Newly elected president Dion D’Souza delivered the vote of thanks. Steffi Lavina D’Souza compered the programme.
