After director’s exit, ‘Sabash Naidu’ team reshuffled
Chennai, July 26 (IANS) Actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan’s trilingual comedy “Sabash Naidu” has undergone lot of shuffling since it went on the floors. After director T.K Rajeev Kumar exited the project following ill-health, the film’s editor and cinematographer have been reportedly changed.
Rajeev was originally supposed to helm the project, which is currently being made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
“When Rajeev fell ill and was subsequently hospitalised, Kamal took over the directorial responsibility. Few days after the team started shooting in Los Angeles, editor James Joseph had to exit the project to attend to his wife who had met with an accident in Kerala,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.
The makers shot the entire first schedule without an editor.
“After completing the US schedule, Kamal thought cinematographer Jaya Krishna Gummadi too needs to be replaced. Kamal wasn’t unhappy with the pace at which he was working and is currently on the lookout for a suitable replacement,” the source said.
“Sabash Naidu” is a spin off based on the popular character Balram Naidu from “Dasavatharam”.
The film also stars Shruti Haasan, Ramya Krishnan, Brahmanandam, Saurabh Shukla and Roger Narayanan.
