The DSS Starz series is a glamorous new addition to the on-going Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) celebrations, which are running until 5 September, under the theme “45 Days of Summer”.
Arriving In Dubai for a highly-anticipated concert in Nakheel’s Ibn Battuta Mall on 6 August, the young celebrity entertained passengers in the transit area, giving a fantastic preview of the magic she will create at Dubai Summer Surprises. Modhesh, Dubai’s popular mascot, was with Laura as they welcomed the passengers who had gathered to watch the star perform.
With the element of surprise placed at the heart of DSS, Laura Marano’s unexpected appearance at Dubai International reinforces the festival’s popularity as a highly popular annual extravaganza that firmly positions Dubai as the summer destination of choice – further buoyed by dnata, Emirate’s cargo service unit, predicting a record-breaking summer for the airport this year.
Giving transfer passengers multiple reasons to enjoy a longer layover in Dubai, Laura’s surprise appearance, organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), also serves to reflect Dubai’s ongoing efforts to boost tourism to new heights.
