Dist Court grants bail to 15 accused in Praveen Poojary murder case
Udupi: The district sessions court on Friday, December 9,  granted bail to the 15 accused including Hindu Jagarana Vedike leader Aravind Koteshwar in the Praveen Poojary murder case.

Activists belonging to right-wing groups had brutally assaulted 29-year-old Praveen Poojary and another person, Akshaya Devadiga (20), at Kenjur village near Hebri on the night of August 17, alleging that they were carrying cows to a slaughterhouse.
Praveen succumbed to injuries at the Mahesh Hospital in Brahmavar on the same night. The Brahmavar police arrested 22 activists on charges of assault and murder.
On December 9, the District magistrate granted conditional bail to the 15 accused, while the bail application of the remaining 7 accused is pending for hearing.
