District Minister Pleasing Minorities for Vote bank – Sanjeev Matandoor
Mangaluru: “Dakshina Kannada is a communally sensitive area. The Karopadi Jalil murder and the recent Kalladka incidents are politically motivated. By giving communal colour to such incidents the district minister in-charge is trying to get votes in the forthcoming elections. In the Karopadi incident, innocent youth have been arrested. The Congress government is using the police department as their weapon. The police department has fixed some of the youth who are involved in petty cases and imposed Goonda act on them”, said the BJP president Sanjeev Matandoor in a press meet held at the BJP office here on June 1.
Addressing the mediapersons Sanjeev Matandoor said, “Whatever statements the district minister gives is taken as evidence by the police department and innocent youth are arrested. The Police should work without any discrimination. The Congress government is pleasing the minorities for vote bank. In the district, the law and order situation has completely failed.”
Sanjeev further said, “The NDA government led by Modi has completed three years. In the three years of its tenure, the BJP government has carried out a lot of development work. To mark the completion of three years we have organised a programme, “Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas” at the Town Hall on June 7. The Union Minister of State, Ministry of Law and Justice; and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology P P Chaudhary will be the chief guest and will address the gathering.”
BJP leaders Jithendra Kottari, Vedavyas Kamath and others were also present.
