London, Sep 3 (IANS) Senegalese footballer Papy Djilobodji, Chelsea’s new signing on the final day of the transfer market, is the main absentee from the English club for the European Champions League squad.
The 26-year-old defender joined Chelsea in a three million pounds ($4.2 million) deal for four years from French outfit Nantes, Efe reported on Thursday.
The other five signings in the transfer market which closed on Tuesday; Colombian Radamel Falcao, Spanish Pedro Rodriguez, Brazilian Kenedy, Bosnian Asmir Begovic and Baba Rahman of Ghana, have all been included in the Blues’ squad.
Chelsea are drawn in Group G of the Champions League along with Dynamo Kiev, Porto and Maccabi Tel-Aviv.
