Dharma Jagarana Samanvaya Holds ‘Dharma Sansad’ for Ghar Wapsi

Mangaluru: The Dharma Jagarana Samanvaya organized “Dharma Sansad” at Sangha Niketan, Mannagudda here, on July 5.

The programme began with an invocation. Muniappa from Bengaluru delivered the keynote address. He said that in India every year more than 2 lakh conversions take place which is a threat to the Hindu Society. “In this regard, we need to bring awareness among the Hindu community, especially the youth.”

He further said Christian missionaries come to India and convert Hindus to Christianity. “If we will not strengthen our faith and religion, this will be a danger to our country and soon Christian missionaries will convert our whole country. We have to discuss three major issues in this meeting; they are Conversion, Ghar Wapsi, and Social harmony and Culture.

He said that conversion should be stopped because Christian missionaries convert in the name of Jesus Christ and Muslims convert in the name of Love Jihad. “It is the need of the hour to stop conversion. To strengthen our religion and stop conversion, we need to teach our culture to the people. Every year, we need to bring back people who have converted through “Ghar Wapsi”. Already, the Christians and Muslims are trying to spoil the social harmony and culture in the country,” said Muniappa.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat said that in the Hindu society, there is no backward and forward. “Those who we call as untouchables, are the ones who have strived hard to retain Hindu society. We, Hindus, should live in unity and not discriminate between caste and creed. Hindu religious leaders should take the initiative to eliminate caste discrimination,” he added.

In the meeting some important decisions were taken, they are:

• To prevent conversion, need to bring awareness among the people through religious heads.
• To eliminate untouchability, need to visit every colony, village and house and unite the Hindu community.
• Homecoming – to bring back converted people through Ghar Wapsi.
• Plan to distribute holy books to every house. During Ghar Wapsi, the people who have converted can join a particular community. In this regard, Hindus should be united and all
• Hindus who have converted to other religions should be brought back.
• Need to organise programmes for the welfare of the poor in the Hindu Society.
• Need to pledge to protect the Hindu religion by organising Dharma Jagarana programmes.

Balekudru Sri Nrasimhashram Swamiji, Sri Vidyaprasanna Teertha Swamiji of Subramanya Math, Gurudevananda Swamiji of Odiyoor, Sri Yogananda Saraswathi Swamiji, Sri Vikhyathananda Swamiji of Shree Kshethra Balyottu, Esha Vittaldas Swamiji of Kemaru Math, Sri Narendranath Swamiji of Marakada Shree Adi Parashakti Kendra, Ekagamyanandaji of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Sri Rajashekarananda Swamiji of Sri Vajradehi Math, Sashikanthamani Swamiji of Balekodi Kshethra, Sri Kalahasthendranath of Anegondi Math, Prof M B Puranik, Dr Vaman Shenoy, Gopal Chettiyar, Shambu Shetty, N Sitaram, S R Rangamurthy, Sridhar, Sharan Pumpwell and others were also present.
