DK Rajotsava Awardee, Cine Actor, Writer- Shekhar Bhandary Succumbs to Covid-19 Virus
Mangaluru : recipient of the Dakshina Kannada Rajyotsava award, Cine Actor, limericks writer, humourist, Karkala Shekhar Bhandary succumbed to Coronavirus infection, after he was being treated at a private hospital in the city for the infection, but lost his battle for life on Monday 10 August.
Karkala Shekhar Bhandary, who was brilliant in so many ways, was born to Babu Bhandary and Abhaya Bhandary from Bettada Mane in Karkala. During his college days, he cultivated an interest in theatre. He completed his education at Karkala and started to work for Vijaya Bank, and retired from that Bank at the Yeshwantpura branch in Bengaluru.
