DK Records Highest Single-day Spike with 97 Coronavirus Positive Cases
Mangaluru: According to the district Health Bulletin, 97 positive coronavirus cases have been reported in Dakshina Kannada on June 28, taking the total number to 663.
Out of the 97 positive cases, 32 persons had returned from Saudi Arabia and Qatar. 10 persons had contracted the disease from patient number 10275, 7302, 9209, 10594, 10296, and 9589, respectively. Twenty-one persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), and five persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection.
The health officials are tracing the contacts of 28 others. All the 97 persons have been shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.
On June 28, six coronavirus infected persons have been discharged from the hospital. With this, a total of 422 persons have now been cured and discharged from the hospital in Dakshina Kannada district.
