DK will burn if killers of Karthik Raj will not be arrested within 10 days
Mangaluru: “If the killers of Karthik Raj will not be arrested, we will intensify our protest in front of the Konaje police station and Dakshina Kannada will burn”, warned MP Nalin Kumar Kateel during the protest staged in front of the Konaje police station here on January 1.
The former Taluk Panchayat vice-president Umesh Ganiga’s son Karthik Raj was assaulted by miscreants when he was on his morning walk at Asaigoli on October 22, Karthik Raj died on October 23.
In this connection, the Hindu Hitarakshana Vedike staged a protest on January 1, in front of the Konaje police station.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel addressing the protesters said, “The Mangaluru constituency in the district, is witnessing continuous crimes but the police as well as the government has failed to arrest the culprits. For all the criminal activities the MLA of this constituency is directly responsible. We have our government in the center and if the state government fails to nab the culprits, I know to bring the order from the center. I will give 10 days time to the police department to arrest the killers of Karthik Raj. If the police fail to arrest the killers, we will intensify our protest in the district and Dakshina Kannada will burn.”
MP Nalin also said, “It is the duty of the police department to provide safety. Being an elected representative, I have the power to question the state government. Today there is a procession but where are the DCP’s?” Nalin questioned.
Nalin also said, “When there is murder the police are not arresting the culprits. Behind all the criminal activities in Ullal and surrounding areas, there is involvement of the terrorists from Kerala. Terrorism from Kerala has spread to Ullal. The MLA of this area is directly responsible for all the criminal activities”, Nalin alleged.
Prior to the protest, a protest rally was flagged off from Fajir to Konaje police station. Former MLA Jayaram Shetty, Santhosh Kumar Boliyar, Gandhiraj Kedila, Chandrahas Uchil, Dhanalakshmi Gatti, Sitharam Shetty, Sathish Acharya and others were also present.
Not going to support inflammatory words of this MP. However, there is no doubt that both ruling Congress and media are notorious for protecting bad behavior by a certain minority group. Politicians want the ‘vote bank’ and media is too afraid to say a word about this group!!!! From mangaluru vimaana nildaana, illegal cow trafficking to other criminal activities, one group has more involvement than any other religious groups. I wish we had some real journalists and real political leaders to confront this reality.
