A 48 years old woman was suffering from cough and fever since 6 months. She was evaluated by Dr.Vishnu Sharma, Consultant Pulmonologist, who diagnosed that she had Left Lung cyst and was referred for surgical excision. For the first time in Mangalore, surgery was conducted using VATS (Video Assisted Thoracoscopy) by making 2 incisions of 10mm and 5mm and complete excision of the cyst was done. Doctors at A J Hospital have completed this surgery successfully and the patient was discharged from hospital within two days after full recovery.
