Doggy Family Saying Prayers Before Meals Videos Gone Viral- Cute & Funny?
Mangaluru : For Christians, including Catholics, saying Grace/Prayers before meals is a common tradition- which many practice. The Bible makes it clear that saying grace is an incredibly important act before eating a meal. Jesus himself gave thanks to the Father before feeding multitudes of people; Paul, too, gave thanks before having a meal. And 2,000 years later, Christians continue the tradition of uttering a grace prayer before each meal — a sign of gratitude, respect and love for the Creator.
But this morning my friend sent me two videos on my whatsapp about saying prayers before meals- and it was not humans saying the prayers, but the four-legged canines taking part in the prayer service before they dig their heads into their food bowls. I thought both the videos were cute, and hilarious- so I thought why not share it with our readers, to take them into a world of laughter and make their day a happy one.
Yes, as dog lovers We love prayer and we love doggy-family joining us in “prayer!” These dogs saying grace are the cutest thing! While canines may not have any concept of God or heaven, many dog owners train their pups to ‘pray.’ Right before they dig into their meals, the well-trained furry friends in these heartwarming clips pause in silence to say grace. Even if dogs don’t fully understand the idea of prayer, they sure look adorable doing it!
In one of the clips in the video, you will see the four pooches have clearly been trained in being thankful for their food and their handler makes them bow their heads while she says a prayer. These pious pups take obedience to the next level. Before eating, all four dogs bow their heads in prayer. With paws outstretched, they know exactly when they are allowed to chow down – as the Chinese woman says ‘Amen’ they lift their heads and tuck in to the bowls laid out in front of them.
But their good manners don’t end with a simple prayer. As each dog finishes their food, they grab their bowls with their mouths and give them in to be washed and put away again.
Now, we can’t say conclusively that they are giving thanks to a higher being, but we feel pretty sure they’re at least giving the table some serious saliva. The video has notched up lakhs of hits since it was uploaded to YouTube. Presumably some dog owners are looking for ways to make their canines equally well-behaved! Let’s all collectively give thanks (to the Internet) for the existence of this video.
