Don’t Criticise me on Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Come Personally with Your Problems to my Office – BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel
Mangaluru: “Some have the thought that if they fight they will get the ticket to contest the elections but in the BJP, those who work for the party only will get the ticket to contest the elections. Sullia MLA Angara has been elected six times but he doesn’t have an ego nor is he involved in groupism. He did not go behind anyone to get a ticket to contest the elections. Myself, I did not ask for the state president’s post. I don’t have any Ph.D., I consider that the party has given me the Doctorate degree for my work”, said the newly elected State President of BJP, Nalin Kumar Kateel during the felicitation programme held at the T V Ramana Pai hall here on August 29.
Addressing the party workers Nalin Kumar Kateel said, “For the people of the district I am a common party worker, whatever height I have reached in the party, it is because of all the party workers, I consider myself still a party worker. Being an MP I have done my duties well. I request the party workers and leaders to support me to carry out my work successfully in the district as the state president.”
Nalin Kumar further said, “I have been given the responsibility of making the whole state a stronghold of our party like Dakshina Kannada. I will not compromise in my duties of following the principles of the Sangha. I will retain the respect of the district as the state president. As the state president, I will tour the state six days of the week with the remaining one day visiting the district. If I am not able to attend any programmes, carry out your programmes inviting the MLAs of the district. If I make mistakes come to my office and discuss with me. Don’t criticize me on facebook or WhatsApp or twitter since I don’t have those accounts. I am using an ordinary mobile”.
Former district BJP President Pratap Simha, MLA Angara, Rukmayya Poojary, Capt Ganesh Karnik and Kota Srinivas Poojary also spoke on the occasion and congratulated Nalin Kumar Kateel.
District BJP President Sanjeev Matandoor welcomed the gathering and delivered the keynote address. MLAs Vedavyas Kamath, Dr Bharat Shetty, Haladi Srinivas Shetty, Rajesh Naik and Umanath Kotian, ZP president Meenakshi Shanthigod, vice president Kasturi Panja, Senior leaders Yogish Bhat, Krishna J Palemar, Prabhakar Bangera, Sudarshan, Brijesh Chowta, Padmanabh Kottari and others were also present.
