Don’t give Threat on Social Media, Instead, Sort out Differences Face to Face – Kemaru Swamiji
Udupi: “If anyone has the courage to give threat to me, let them come in front of me and I will face them, don’t give threat on Social media, Instead, sort out differences face to face”, said Esha Vittala Dasa Swamiji of Kemaru Math in a meeting held in Udupi on August 11.
After attending the well-wishers meeting in Udupi, Kemaru Swamiji said, “I was receiving threats on social media for having spoken about the controversy surrounding the death of the Shiroor Swamiji. I have never interfered in the personal life of Lakshmivara Teertha Swamiji or the Ashta Maths. I have had great respect for Shiroor Swamiji and had personally met him a number of times. I don’t want to know about his personal life. Today many are blaming the Shiroor Swamiji after his death which is not a healthy culture. Everyone has his/her own loopholes in life which are personal. All I want to know is whether the Shiroor Swamiji’s death was due to poisoning or any other reason if it was by poisoning, then how did the poison enter his body?” he questioned.
Kemaru Swamiji further said, “The Police department is doing their work promptly and we have demanded a high-level probe into the suspicious death of Lakshmivara Theertha Swamiji. Doctors in the hospital had revealed that there was poison in the Swamiji’s body which has created fear among the devotees. There should be a high-level enquiry and we hope the police will do justice.”
Kemaru Swamiji also said, “I have held various protests as a religious leader and never received any monetary gains for me or my Math. I have received messages on my mobile phone from some people. They have also blamed me on the social media. I have not said anything bad against any other Swamiji’s of the Ashta Maths. My fight is only for a fair enquiry of the suspicious death of Shiroor Swamiji and I don’t need to get into anyone’s personal life. I am also a non-Brahmin Swamiji having my own followers. Those who have given me threats on the facebook and social media don’t have any courage to come in front of me and say so,” he said.
