Don’t kill innocent people in the name of Gau Raksha – Pejawar Swamiji
Udupi: Shree Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Pejawar Math urged all saffron associations not to kill people in the name of Gau Raksha.
He was speaking to the media persons at Sri Krishna Temple on Saturday, August 20. The Swamiji condemned the incident of the BJP activist who was brutally attacked and killed allegedly by the Hindu Jagarana Vedike members. The incident is a big black mark on our Hindu community. It is a backdrop to our society. Gau Raksha is our main duty but attacking people in the name of Gau Raksha is not. No one should support the attack of Praveen Poojary. It is a shameful act and should stop. Hindu associations should create awareness in the community on how to stop cow slaughter by not selling cows and treating them as a mother. The community should feel confident while at the same time others should not feel insecure. Associations should not take the law into their hands in the name of Gau Raksha, he added.
Swamiji also urged the state government to pass stronger anti-cattle slaughter laws. Associations should join hand with the police to help the department stop illegal cattle transportation, he said
Sensible chap!
