‘Don’t need Siddaramaiah’s certificate to give Bharat Ratna to Savarkar’ – Shobha Karandlaje

Udupi: “We don’t need former chief minister Siddaramaiah’s certificate to give Bharat Ratna to freedom fighter Veer Savarkar. Veer Savarkar sacrificed his life for the freedom of the country, but unfortunately, and the Congress never recognized them”, said Shobha Karandlaje member of parliament Udupi-Chikkamagaluru to the media persons in Udupi on October 24.

Addressing the mediapersons Shobha said, “Siddaramaiah always thinks of vote bank politics but BJP respects the service of Veer Savarkar. Siddaramaiah has insulted Veer Savarkar, he should apologize. Veer Savarkar deserves to get the Bharat Ratna but politicians like Siddaramaiah cannot digest it”.

Commenting over the congress celebrations on the release of former minister D K Shivakumar, Shobha said that D K Shivakumar was released just on conditional bail. Cases against him are still under investigation and in the court. D K Shivakumar should fist come out clear from all the cases against him and then involve himself in politics, she said.
