I don’t watch television: Vidya Balan
New Delhi, Aug 2 (IANS) She started her career in showbiz from the small screen, where she portrayed a shy bespectacled Radhika of the TV sitcom “Hum Paanch”. But actress Vidya Balan says now she doesn’t get the time to watch television.
Asked if she finds changes in the TV industry, Vidya told IANS over phone from Mumbai: “I don’t watch television (that much) invariably because I don’t get the time to follow shows… I know there is Hotstar (live streaming app) and all that, but I just don’t watch television.”
The 38-year-old, however, watched shows on Zindagi channel in between the shoot of “Kahaani 2”.
“I don’t watch television otherwise,” Vidya added.
The actress has finished shooting for the sequel of the 2012 suspense thriller “Kahaani”, which was shot in Kalimpong, West Bengal and will also be seen in Srijit Mukherji’s directorial “Begum Jaan”.

I’m very comfortable without make-up: Yami Gautam
Actress Yami Gautam, who was last seen on screen in filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri’s “Junooniyat”, says she is very comfortable without make-up.
Asked if looking perfect all the time is important for actors, Yami told IANS: “As far as I am concerned, I am very comfortable without make-up. I think it’s about whatever makes you happy.”
The 27-year-old actress says happiness is important for one to look good.
“If you are happy with or without make-up, that’s what it’s all about,” Yami added.
On the work front, the “Sanam Re” star will soon be seen playing a blind girl in Sanjay Gupta’s upcoming film “Kaabil”, starring superstar Hrithik Roshan.
“Kaabil” is produced by Hrithik’s father Rakesh Roshan, and is slated to release on January 26 next year.
Talking about her other projects, Yami said: “You’ll hear about them very soon. Right now, it is just ‘Kaabil’… The shoot is still on and of course we all know the release date.”

I enjoy keeping busy: Sharad Kelkar
Actor Sharad Kelkar says he is a workoholic and enjoys keeping himself busy with work.
Sharad, who has contributed both to TV shows and films, says he has always juggled between the two mediums and plans to keep doing so.
“I have always done it (juggle between TV and movies). When I was doing ‘Kuch Toh Log Kahenge’, I did ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’, ‘Lai Bhaari’ and ‘1920’. And when I did ‘Agent Raghav’, I did films like ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’ and finished ‘Rocky Handsome’.
“I am a workoholic… I enjoy working and keeping busy,” Sharad told IANS over phone from Mumbai.
The 39-year-old actor, who is married to TV actress Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar, says he also loves both big and small screen as the pattern of shooting is “different”.
“I love it (TV and films) as they are different mediums, have different atmosphere around and different pattern of shooting,” he added.
On the silver screen, Sharad, who was last seen in Nishikant Kamat’s “Rocky Handsome”, is gearing up for for his next release “Mohenjo Daro”, written, produced and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker.
The epic adventure-romance is set in the prehistoric city of Mohenjo Daro in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation which dates back to 2600 BC.
The film also stars superstar Hrithik Roshan and marks the debut of Pooja Hegde. It is slated to hit the theatres on August 12.
