Double Murder Accused Vinesh Shetty arrested in Mumbai after 12 years
Mangaluru: The Konaje police have arrested a 46-year-old man in Mumbai on August 5, in connection with the double murder at Mudipu in 2003.
The arrested has been identified as Vinesh Shetty (46) from Shirva Udupi, at present residing in Mumbai.
According to the police, Vinesh Shetty was involved in the murder of Venugopal Nayak and his driver Santhosh. Vinesh Shetty was arrested and released on bail in 2005. Since then he was absconding, he also failed to appear before the court.
The court had issued a warrant against him. On August 5, Konaje Police inspector Ashok along with PSI Sukumar, Police constables Shivaprasad, Mahesh and Umesh Rathod arrested Vinesh Shetty in Mumbai.
The double murder case is under trial before VI Additional Session court in Mangaluru.
