Dr. Krithi K. Karanth Awarded 2020 Eisenhower Fellowship for Representing India in Global Cohort of 20 Fellows

Bengaluru: As a great impetus to the work we do at Centre for Wildlife Studies (CWS), Bengaluru, we are delighted to share with you that Dr. Krithi K. Karanth has been awarded a 2020 Eisenhower Fellowship, representing India in the global cohort of 20 fellows.

Every year, Eisenhower Fellowships are given to leaders from around the world who make important contributions to their societies. Launched in 1953, they have recognized more than 2400 fellows around the world, including 82 fellows from India. Eisenhower Fellowships identifies, empowers and connects innovative leaders through a transformative fellowship experience and lifelong engagement in a global network of dynamic change agents committed to creating a world more peaceful, prosperous and just.

“Eisenhower Fellows are outstanding leaders from around the world who make important contributions to their societies. It gives me great pleasure that Dr. Krithi Karanth has been selected as a Fellow from India in the strong competition for the Eisenhower Fellowship Fall 2020 Women’s Leadership Program,” said George de Lama, President, Eisenhower Fellowships.

In 2020, one of their focuses is the Women’s Leadership Program, which seeks diverse, dynamic doers with the vision to make the world a better place as well as the ability to create and implement a concrete plan to make that vision a reality post-fellowship. This, we believe, will help CWS advance its mission to better our world in the areas of wildlife conservation, research, policy and education.
