Dr Richard V Souza Takes over as Kodagu DC
Madikeri: Dr Richard Vincent D’Souza took over as the deputy commissioner of the Kodagu district on Wednesday, Jun 1.
He has earlier served as the joint commissioner of BBMP, Bengaluru and the chief executive officer of the Raichur Zilla panchayat.
Speaking to our correspondent, Dr D’Souza described Kodagu as enjoying a distinct place, culturally and historically. The district had made a remarkable contribution to the fields of sports and defence.
He added the development was an unending process. He assured of his best efforts in ensuring early execution of developmental works and serving in a people-friendly manner.
Additional deputy commissioner M Satish Kumar was present on the occasion.
Dr D’Souza hails from Mudarangadi in Udupi district.
