Dr Surendra Shetty Unveils Plaque of Dr TMA Pai during Silver Jubilee Celebrations of KMC Attavar
Mangaluru: Kasturba Medical College Hospital Attavar, on the occasion of completing 25 successful years of providing clinical services unveiled a Plaque of Padmashri Dr Tonse Madhav Ananth Pai (Late Dr T.M.A.Pai) in commemoration of his Philanthropic contribution to the society.
The Plaque was unveiled at the KMC Hospital Attavar by Dr Surendra V Shetty – Pro Vice Chancellor of Manipal University Mangaluru campus in the Presence of Dr M Venkatraya Prabhu- Dean of Kasturba Medical College Mangaluru, Dr Dilip G Naik – Dean of Manipal College of Dental Sciences Mangaluru, Dr Chakrapani – Associate Dean of KMC Mangaluru, Dr Unnikrishnan B.- Associate Dean KMC Mangaluru, Dr Anand Venugopal – Medical Superintendent of KMC Hospital Mangaluru, Saghir Siddiqui- Regional COO & Unit Head of KMC Hospital Mangaluru and Dr Santhosh Rai – Organising Chairman of Silver Jubilee Committee.
On the Occasion of the Silver Jubilee Year, Dr Ramdas M Pai, the Chancellor of Manipal University offered to extend Free Healthcare benefits to all the BPL families residing in and around Mangaluru, and hence announced a special enrollment drive under which the enrolled members will be entitled to avail FREE In-Patient benefits up to Rs 30,000/- per family per year at KMC Hospital Attavar.
This special enrollment drive is in line with the dream of the great Late Dr T.M.A.Pai, who wanted to get rid of some of the basic problems facing the society i.e ILL HEALTH, ILLITERACY & POVERTY.
