Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangaluru Press Club, Sachin Ganesh, the Co-Founder of Dreamsoft Innovations Private Limited said, “This event is a call out for all the technology enthusiasts of Mangaluru. Dreamsoft Innovations in association with Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, HostZyro and NAIN ( New Age Incubation Network) Govt. Of Karnataka is organizing a coding hackathon named “Dreamathon 2019″, which is one of the largest 30 hours Hackathon to be held in Mangaluru on 13th and 14th April at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Adyar”.

“Dreamathon 2k19′ is a coding fest where students, professionals, start-ups and tech communities converge. Dreamathon comprises of diverse events – such as Hackathon, Gameathon, multiple Workshops, CodeHunt, and talks by professionals, encouraging the community to come up with innovative solutions. The event will witness a diverse mix of attendees like Students, Start-ups, Corporate and Freelancers. Moreover, at Dreamathon we are lucky to have around 11 Startups and Corporates from Mangaluru. Total prize is worth of Rs 1,00,000” added Sachin Ganesh.

Divya, also the co-founder of Dreamsoft said, “The participants will be having a privilege to have a good networking with companies like CodeCraft and many more. Participants can also get internship and job opportunities in companies.The opportunity is open for all students, freelancer’s and corporate with an age limit of 15 to 24 years, who are interested in technical events. The benefits of participating in Dreamathon 2k19 are – Good programmers can get job opportunities; Best coders will get an Internship opportunity; Product Development Mentoring; Can be a part of Mangaluru’s Coders’s Community; A golden opportunity to build a connection with the companies and start-ups in and around Mangaluru and to get guidance from them”.

More details of the events are as follows:

• Hackathon- A 30 hours event where the participants will have to develop a web or mobile application on the topic provided. The winner will be awarded a cash prize worth Rs.50000 and Internships.

• Gameathon- Participants will have to develop a game within 30 hours on a said theme using the Unity 3D Engine. Winners will be awarded a cash prize worth Rs.20,000 and Internships.

• Codehunt- Participants should solve a given problem statement by using any coding language within the given time limit. The winner s will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.5000.

Hackathon is subdivided into Hackathon Junior and Hackathon Senior.

Hackathon Junior is open to students of 10th to 12th standard.

Hackathon Senior is open for all students, corporate and freelancers with an age limit of 18 to 24 years.
