Drug Peddlers Arrested, MDMA Powder Seized
Mangaluru: The Economic and Narcotic Crime Police arrested two drug peddlers and seized 4. 80 grams of MDMA powder while they were selling it at Chilimbi, Urwa here on November 26.
The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Niyaz (25) from Suratkal and Mohammed Azim (30) from Amrit Nagar, Pandeshwar.
According to the Economic and Narcotic Crime Police, after getting reliable information about the drug Peddlers waiting for customers in a Maroon Colour Alto car at Chilimbi the Economic and Narcotic Crime Police, got into action and arrested both the drug peddlers. The police also seized 4.80 grams of MDMA powder, an Alto car, 3 mobile phones and cash Rs 3000 all equalling Rs 2.8 Lakh from their possession.
Accused Mohammed Niyaz was involved in various crimes and Criminal cases have been registered against him in Konaje, Urwa and Suratkal police stations.
The Economic and Narcotic Crime Police have registered a case and investigation is on.
Under the direction of Police commissioner Dr Harsha and the able guidance of DCP L&O Arunagshu and DCP crime and Traffic Lakshmi Ganesh, the operation was carried out by the Economic and Narcotic Crime Police team.
