Dry grass catches Fire at NH 66 near Mullikatte
Kundapur: Panic spread near the National Highway 66 at Mullikatte near Hemmadi after dry grass caught fire on Tuesday, January 15 evening.
However, a major fire was averted due to the timely help of the locals and the fire service.
Fire broke out and spread across a vast field of over 20 acres causing momentary panic among the residents. The exact reason behind the fire not yet to known.
The Fire brigade personnel immediately rushed to the spot and managed to put out the fire. No damage has been caused. The local youth cooperated with the fire personnel in putting out the fire.
