Dubai: Kannada Paata Shaale Celebrates Maiden School Day in Colourful manner

UAE: The Kannada Paata Shaale, (Kannada learning school) a free school, is initiated by Kannada Mitraru UAE under the leadership of Sashidhar Nagarajappa, which is dedicated to teach Kannada to Kannadigas in UAE with the support of JSS Education Institutions by providing space in their premises to conduct Kannada classes. The maiden Kannada Paata Shaale programme was held on 8 May 2015 at the Fortune Grand Dubai Hotel, Dubai,

The colourful celebrations started at the scheduled time with a Prayer song by Maurya and Sinchana, bharathanatyam – Ganesha Stuthi by Deeksha followed by various Kannada folk, classical and film songs melodiously sung by various students.

Arnav and Chetan exhibited their skills on the Keyboard and entertained the gathering.

Deepak Somashekar presented the video presentation of Kannada Paata shale activities from the beginning to the present day which was well appreciated.

CEO of JSS, D P Shivakumar, Satish Venkataramana, Sashidhar Nagarajappa and Murugesh Gajre inaugurated the function by lighting the traditional lamp.

Dr D P Shivakumar, CEO of JSS, appreciated the good work of Kannada Mitraru UAE and assured to extend his support for the smooth functioning of Kannada classes.

Meantime Prema Lohit, Shwetha Nadig, Kavya Yuvraj, Shuba Arun, Shilpa Siddalingesh, Roopa Shashidhar, Srinidhi Hariprasanna and Surekha Babu the teachers who voluntarily taught Kannada without anticipating any financial gain were felicitated by the guest for their selfless service. Also felicitated were Vivek Anand and Jasmitha Vivek who voluntarily taught photography and dance.

All students who passed in Kannada exams were honoured with a certificate and medals by the guests Praveen Shetty, Dr Shiva Kumar, Sathish Venkataramana, Shodhan Prasad, Veerendra Babu, Mallikarjuna Gowda and Manohar Hegde.

Shashidhar honoured Pranav, Ishitha, Yashaswi, Mourya, Sinchana and Ashish for their 100% attendance in Kannada Classes in the year 2014-2015.

A skit by the students added more colour to the programme.

Shwetha Nadig compered the programme and Sunil Gavasker delivered the vote of thanks.

Efforts of all parents, committee members, Kannada enthusiasts and selfless service of Teachers contributed towards the success of ‘The Kannada Paata Shaale’ and maiden school day celebrations in a very grand and colorful manner.

Very well organised event! Thank you to all the organisers!
Also, Thanks a bunch to all the teachers and team who gave free Kannada lessons to the children and free Art & Craft and Photography classes to the parents. Great work!!!

Pleased to see the photo of my Grand Daughter Shriya receiving certificate and I congratulate to Dubai Kannada Paata Shale team of teachers and patrons for their great gesture.
