DySP Kundapur Team Rescues 31 Buffaloes being transported to Slaughterhouse
Kundapur: The team led by Kundapur DySP Hariram Shanker rescued 31 Buffaloes that were being transported to the slaughterhouse at Nagur under the Byndoor Police Station limits on November 14 night.
According to DySP Hariram Shanker IPS, on November 14 night, while he was on the night rounds at Kundapur Subdivision limits, he received information that buffaloes were being transported illegally to the slaughterhouse. Based on the information, the DySP Hariram along with his team got into action and rescued 31 Buffaloes that were being transported from Gujarat to a slaughterhouse in Mangaluru.
In the operation, the police arrested four persons who were involved in the illegal transportation of buffaloes.
During the investigation, it was found that the legs of the buffaloes were tied and out of the 21 buffaloes, one buffalo had died and four were injured. All the buffaloes were seized and later handed over to the Cow Shetler at Neelavara near Brahmavar.
The Byndoor Police have registered a case and are investigating.
