DySP Raveesh and Circle Insp Manjaiah Take Charge in Bantwal
Bantwal: After the transfer of IAS officer and ASP Rahul Kumar Shahapurwad to Hassan on promotion as SP, the post of the subdivisional police officer was lying vacant. Bhaskar Rai had been holding the charge as DySP of the subdivision since March this year.
With the appointment of a full-time incumbent now, Rai handed over the charge to Raveesh C R as the new DySP earlier this week.
Hailing from Chikkanayakanahalli in Tumakuru district, Raveesh began as police sub-inspector in 1994 and served in Puttur, Vittal, Sullia, Beltangady and Bunder. Promoted as circle inspector, he served at intelligence in Mangaluru, Arsikere and Uppinangady stations.
During the following years, he was circle inspector in Kengeri, Jnanabharati and High Ground stations. Promoted as DySP, he was posted to the internal security wing. He has won a silver medal in 1998 and a gold medal from the chief minister in 2013 for meritorious service.
B K Manjaiah, hailing from Buvanahalli of Hassan district, began his service as sub-inspector at Shankaranarayana in Udupi district in 2002, later serving in Kundapur and Karwar.
He has been a circle inspector in Bhatkal coastal security in Bhatkal, Uppinangady, Belur, Mangaluru Lokayukta, Puttur town and Sakleshpur stations.
Now he has taken over as circle inspector in Bantwal. His predecessor Belliappa has been transferred to Pandeshwar circle in Mangaluru.
