E S Chakravarty inaugurates Fresher’s day at Alva’s
Mangaluru: The Fresher’s Day Orientation for BE Students of Academic Year 2016-17 was held on August 3, 2016 at Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology, Moodbidri.
The Fresher’s day was inaugurated by chief guest E S Chakravarty, Center Head, TCS, Bangalore. After the lighting of the lamp, Chakravarthy said that “For today’s Engineering students there are plenty of opportunities. However, these opportunities may be available with enormous amounts of hard work. He added that engineering students should give importance to 3 phases of the process during 4 years of engineering. First, students should develop strong academic fundamentals in their discipline of engineering. Second, students should apply the concepts to applications and Thirdly, students should analyze and assess the developed applications. Also, Chakravarthy said that students should develop a habit of problem-solving skills, articulation skills and should struggle for excellence in future and good culture.”
After presiding over the function Chairman of AEF Dr M Mohan Alva said, “All parents have admitted their children with great expectation in Alva’s. So, he assured the parents that, definitely the teachers of Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology will nurture the students with great knowledge and care.”
The Academic Regional Manager of TCS Bangalore Sreenivasa Ramanujam, Benjvin Samuel, Campus Recruiter of TCS and Vivek Alva, Managing Trustee of Alva’s Education Foundation were present during this function. The Principal of AIET Dr Peter Fernandes read the Annual Report of the College. Prof. Manjunath Kotari, Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering welcomed the gathering. Prof. Jayanthkumar Rathod HOD-ISE introduced the guest to the audience. Prof. Durgaprasad Baliga delivered the vote of thanks.
