Easter Celebrated at St Therese Church Salmiya
Kuwait: Hundreds of Christian Faithful gathered at St Therese of Child Jesus Church Salmiya on Saturday, April 15 to observe Easter Vigil on the eve of Easter Sunday along with visiting Priests from Mangaluru Fr Lancy Noel Rebello OFM Cap.
The candle light ceremonies included the blessing of the Paschal candle and blessing of fire and holy water.
In his homily, Fr Lancy urged all gathered to be firm in their faith. Psalms and melodious hymns were sung by Konkani Choir led by Kiran Gonsalves.
Parish Priest Fr Blany Pinto thanked the visiting priest Fr Lancy Rebello for his month-long service in conducting retreats in Kuwait as well as helping the faithful in nourishing their faith. He also thanked all those who supported and helped throughout the lenten season especially during the holy week.
Thank you, Salmia in Kuwait for being the role model in displaying the secular values so that people of Christian faith can celebrate the Feast of Easter in a grand scale with all the best of facilities that you have so kindly made available.
