Los Angeles, Nov 25 (IANS) Actor Eddie Redmayne says he had a “moment” where he considered quitting acting as he didn’t think he would ever again match his Oscar success.
The 33-year-old was one of the youngest winners ever when he picked up the Best Actor award for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in “The Theory of Everything” at the 87th Academy Awards earlier this year.
“I had a moment of, ‘Oh f**k, I might retire tomorrow. I’m never going to do anything again’,” Redmayne told Details magazine, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
“The thought that it happened too early came in for a second. But then I thought, No, I want this,” he added.
Despite his Oscar win and frequent praise from critics, the “Danish Girl” actor says he still has to work incredibly hard.
“It’s not as if I have got talent enough to not work hard with it,” he said.
