Eid ul-Fitr Celebrated in DK with Great Devotion

Mangaluru: After a month of fasting and prayer, a large congregation of Muslims assembled at the Idgah Mosque, Light House Hill Road to celebrate Eid ul-Fitr and offered Eid prayers here, on June 15.

At the Idgah Mosque, the Eid prayers were held at 8:00 am. Thousands of Muslim brethren gathered at the Mosque to offer prayers. After the prayers, they embraced each other exchanging greetings and well wishes.

Speaking to the mediapersons, Minister for Housing and Urban Development U T Khader said, “I wish each and everyone a Happy Eid Mubarak. The Holy Ramadan Month has come to an end today. With one month of fasting and sacrifice and helping the needy people in the society, each one of us should change our personality and way of thinking. I am sure that the change in our personality should continue throughout the year and we should become the best citizens of the society. Every festival in this region gives the message that we are all one and should all live in harmony and brotherhood.”

Team Mangalorean wishes ‘Happy Eid ul-Fitr’ to all Muslim brethren. Eid Mubarak!
