Eight-year-old girl sexually assaulted at Bidkalkatte
Kundapur: An underage girl was sexually assaulted by a person in Bidkalkatte a village in Kundapur Taluk. The incident was reported before two days and a case has been registered on Friday April 7.
According to sources, when the eight-year-old girl had gone to a nearby shop, the shop owner Ramdas (53) took the girl to his house and sexually assaulted her. He then threatened to kill her if she revealed the matter to anyone. On Friday, the girl complained of stomach pain. When her parents questioned her on what was happening, she narrated the entire incident to them. The parent rushed the girl to the Koteshwer hospital from where she was later shifted to the Manipal private hospital, her condition is said to be stable.
After the complaint was lodged, the accused has been absconding. The parents of the victim work as daily wage labourers.
A case has been registered in the Kota Police Station. Further investigation is on.
