Eighty-three Persons Test Positive for Coronavirus in DK on July 7
Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, eighty-three persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus, and a person has died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on July 7.
Out of the eighty-three positive cases, forty-eight persons had contracted the disease from primary contacts. Two persons had contracted the disease from secondary contacts. Twenty persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), and one person is suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection. The health officials are tracing the contacts of three others.
On July 7, morning, a 62-year-old man from Moodbidri breathed his last at a private hospital without responding to treatment.
All the eighty-three persons have been shifted to the designated COVID hospital for further treatment.
