Frankfurt, July 1 (IANS) Striker Luc Castaignos has moved from Dutch football outfit Twente Enschede to Eintracht Frankfurt until 2018, the ‘Eagles’ have announced.
The 22-year-old inked a three-year deal which keeps him with the Bundesliga side until June 2018, reports Xinhua.
“With Luc Castaignos we signed a versatile player for our offence. Despite several lucrative offers Luc decided to take the next step at Eintracht,” Frankfurt sporting director Bruno Huebner said on Tuesday.
The Dutch played, since 2012, for Twente Enschede to provide 37 goals in 97 appearances.
“For me the Bundesliga is one for Europe’s best leagues. I am glad that I can play at this high level here. I saw the season’s final against Leverkusen and I was immediately impressed with the atmosphere and the supporters in the stadium,” the new arrival said.
Frankfurt face Wolfsburg in their season opener for the 2015-2016 campaign on August 15.
