‘EK BHARAT SHRESTHA BHARAT 2020’ (EBSB) E-CAMP 2020 (PHHP & C) (KAR & GOA)
Mangaluru: The first ever ‘EK BHARAT SHRESTHA BHARAT’ (EBSB) E-Camp 2020 was organized by the Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh & Chandigarh Directorate (PHHP&C) along with the Karnataka and Goa Directorate (KAR&GOA). The camp was conducted through a webinar where total of 100 cadets from both the host and guest states participated. The guest state (KAR & GOA) had total of 50 cadets from 3 different wings of ST. ALOYSIUS COLLEGE MANGALURU. ARMY WING-20, NAVY WING-15 AND AIR WING-15. It was a six days virtual online camp from June 22 to June 27,2020. The duration of the camp each day was for 3 hours (10 am-1 pm).
The organizing committee of Karnataka & Goa directorate was headed by Col A.K Sharma, Group commander , Mangaluru NCC group, Col Manoj V U , Commanding Officer 18 Karnataka battalion , Mangaluru assisted by Capt Shakinraj , ANO Army wing , S/Lt Hariprasad Shetty, ANO Navy wing and F/O Alwyn Misquith , ANO Air wing of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) NCC Sub units.
DAY 1 (22 June,2020)
Day 1 started with the introduction for both the states given by Dr Shilpi Ahuja caretaker Air Wing NCC from DAV College which included the purpose of the camp along with the rules and regulations.
SESSIONS
The FIRST session was on History, Geography, Economy and SWOT of Punjab. Later, followed by History and Geography of Karnataka (Part 1). There was 15 min interaction with participants followed by a break for 10 min.
The SECOND session was on History, Geography, Economy and SWOT of Haryana. Later, followed by Economy and SWOT of Karnataka. There was 15 min interaction with participants followed by a break for 10 min.
The THIRD session was on History, Geography, Economy and SWOT of Himachal Pradesh. Later, followed by History, Geography, Economy and SWOT of Goa.
There was 15 min interaction with participants.
Day 2 (23 June 2020)
The FIRST session began with the presentation on cultural heritage of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. Later, followed by the presentation on cultural heritage of Karnataka and Goa. There was 15 min interaction with participants followed by a break of 10 min.
The SECOND session began with the presentations on festivals, customs and traditions of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh & Chandigarh. Later, followed by the presentation on festivals, customs and traditions of Karnataka & Goa. There was 15 min interaction with participants followed by break for 10min.
The THIRD session began about learning about cuisine and food habits of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. Later, it followed about the learning of cuisine and food habits of Karnataka and Goa. There was 15 min interaction with participants.
Day 3 (24 June 2020)
The FIRST session began with origin , script and dialect of Punjabi. Later, followed by the origin, script and dialect of Kannada and Konkani. There was 15 min interaction with participants followed by break for 10 min.
The SECOND session began with the greetings and common sentences in Punjabi. Later, followed by greetings and common sentences in Kannada and Konkani. There was 15 min interaction with participants followed by break for 10 min.
The THIRD session began with the interaction in language of host state (PHHP&C). Later, followed by the interaction in language of host state followed by that of guest state (Kar & Goa). There was 15 min interaction with participants.
Day 4 (25 June 2020)
The FIRST session began with the cultural/folk song, dance and performance on musical instruments by PHHP & C. There was 15 min interaction with participants followed by break for 10 min.
The SECOND session began with cultural/folk song, dance and performance on musical instruments by KAR & GOA. There was 15 min interaction with participants followed by break of 10 min.
The THIRD session began with the discussion on leadership qualities of selected leaders of the region PHHP&C. Later, followed by discussion on leadership qualities of selected leaders of the region KAR & GOA. There was 15 min interaction with participants.
Day 5 (26 June, 2020)
The FIRST session began on Dekho Apna Desh by showing video clippings of historical and tourism sites of PHHP &C. Later, followed with Dekho Apna Desh by showing video clippings of historical and tourism sites of KAR &GOA. There was a break for 10 min.
The SECOND session began with DEBATE . The topic given was ‘SOCIAL MEDIA IS A BOON’. Four cadets from each PHHP &C and KAR & GOA (Two cadets FOR and AGAINST the motion). There was a break of 10 min.
The THIRD session was QUIZ COMPETITION which was for all the participants of both the directorates.
