Election Commission Seizes Pramod’s Election Campaign Vehicle

Udupi: The district officials of the Election commission are keeping a strict vigil on political parties.  They have seized the election publicity campaign vehicle of Minister Pramod Madhwaraj which was parked outside the Inspection Bunglow, on Wednesday, March 28.

The team led by IAS Probationer officer Poovita and team seized the publicity campaign vehicle of Minister Pramod Madhwaraj near the inspection bungalow and have taken it to the DC office. The party symbol and Pramod Madhwaraj Pictures were openly displayed on the vehicle. The party workers had not taken permission from the Election commission.

The vehicle which was plying since many days in the city did not carry the party symbol or photos of Congress Committee President Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah earlier. After the matter was highlighted in the media Pramod had instructed to place the party symbol on the vehicle. On Tuesday the election commission had announced the dates for the Assembly elections and the deputy commissioner had strictly instructed all the parties to obtain permission for all the party campaign vehicles.
