Emergency Meeting to Discuss about Low Konkani Census Figures, on Sunday, July 08, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Kalaangann, Shaktinagar-Mangaluru

Mangaluru: 2011 census figures are now published. As per this, Konkani’s numbers, while compared to the 2001 census figures, have reduced by 2,32,513. This is, indeed, appalling!

Very many questions arise –

1. Do the census figures truly reflect the real strength of the Konkani?

2. Is this situation reflecting the decline and death of Konkani?

3. Who is responsible for this situation? – The Government? The Konkani People? Or The Leaders of the Konkani Movement?

4. How to redeem Konkani from this situation?

To seek answers to the above pressing questions – an Emergency Meeting has been convened on the 08th of July, 2018, at Kalaangann, at 10 a.m.
