Udupi: D K Shivakumar Energy minister of Karnataka and also chairman of the campaign committee visited Udupi Sri Krishna Math on Wednesday, May 2.

Later speaking to the media he said “I have great faith in Lord Sri Krishna and I came here on behalf our party and the government. The Palimar Swamiji discussed various issues with me which I don’t want to disclose it now. This time we are facing the elections on the basis of development. The BJP is dividing the people in the name of religion”, he said.
When asked about the PM not visiting Sri Krishna Math DKS said that visiting the Temples or not is their wish. Yes, I Agree that chief minister Siddaramaiah also had not visited Sri Krishna Temple but he did not close the Muzarai department. The Siddaramaiah government has given more funds to the Muzarai department and strengthened it. At the same time, we have respect for other religions too. In this election the Congress will get a clear majority with 130 seats, he said.
When asked about the IT raids on Congress candidates in Uttara Kannada DKS said that the Modi led union government has continuously targeted the Congress leaders by carrying out IT raids. The BJP should give an answer to it, the people of Karnataka will teach the BJP a right lesson, he said.
District Congress president Janardhan Tonse, district Congress leaders Deenesh Putran, Harish Kini, Kishan Hegde, Ashok Kodavoor and others were present.
