Enthusiasm is the Match that Lights the Candle of Achievement – Sr Claire during Roshni Annual Day
Mangaluru: The School Of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, held its Annual Day on 22 December 2016.
The programme began with an invocation led by the students. President of the Students council Azmeera Shahzeen welcomed the gathering. The principal of Roshni Nilaya, Dr Sophia N Fernandes presented the annual report through a power point presentation.
The report included the 3rd cycle of the National Assessment and Accreditation grading the college with an ‘A’ grade, activities of various associations, achievements of the students as well as the faculty, and the development of the college throughout the year.
Principal, St Ann’s College of Education, Mangaluru, Dr Sr M Claire AC, distributed the prizes to the students who achieved commendation in curricular as well as in extra-curricular activities.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Sr M Claire A C said that Education was not only the acquisition of knowledge alone, but also to facilitate learning and to question at the right moments.
Receiving good education helps empower you, thus makes you strong enough to look after yourself in any given situation, after all, development is an on-going process. It forms the very essence of our actions.
There was a cultural programme presented by the students, which included, Dance, Kannada and English drama, Kannada and French songs etc.
General Secretary, Paige Texiera delivered the vote of thanks.
