Esha Vittaladas Swamiji and Fr John to Receive Sadhbavana Samman award
Mangaluru: “The Sadhbavana Samman award will be conferred on Kemaru Sandipani Sadhanshram, Shri Shri Shri Esha Vittaladas Swamiji and Fr John Fernandes, at the valedictory function of Peace and Humanity national campaign, at Town hall on October 7, said the president of Peace and Humanity Dr Satyanarayan Mallipattana in a press meet held at Hotel Woodlands here on October 5.
Addressing the mediapersons Dr Satyanarayan said that to bring peace and humanity in the district we have organized a national campaign which was inaugurated on September 14. Students from various schools and colleges participated in the essay writing competition. We have received more than 650 essays from various schools. The first place winners in the essay competition from each taluk will be the chief guests for the students convention which will be held on October 7.
Kripa Maria Rasquinha from St Gerosa High School will preside over the students convention. The first prize winners are Shreya Pai, Alva’s English Medium School Moodbidri, Kushi A Chowta SVS English Medium School, Veidyagiri Bantwal, Pavitra P Navodaya school Battrampandi Puttur, Bhargavi Shabaraya SDM English Medium School Ujire Beltangady and Jyoti K Government school Gandhi Nagar Sullia.
We had received 20 short films for the contest out of which 10 films were shortlisted and two have won the first and second place respectively. The winning films will be screened on October 7, later prizes will be distributed to the winners of the Essay writing competition and short films. There are 5 consolation prizes for the short films.
Erya Laxminarayana Alva and president of Unity Academy of education Dr C P Habib Rehman will be the guests for the award ceremony.
Prasad Rai Kallimar, Mohammed Kunhi, Ummer U H, Raymond D’Cunha, Vijayalaxmi Shetty and Sajida Moummin were also present.
