Eshwarappa has only Guided Sangolli Rayanna Brigade – Doddayya Anekal

Udupi: K.S. Eshwarappa is not registered as an office bearer, he has only guided the Sangolli Rayanna Brigade (SRB) said Doddayya Anekal state working president of the Brigede. He was speaking to the mediapersons at Hotel Ramakrishna on Sunday, April 30.

The brigade will never play any political or electoral role, but will create awareness to unite the backward classes and Dalits to ensure socio-political justice. The Brigade activities would not stop at any cost, saying it is not against any party or individual. We have already started to build our organisation from the Panchayat level. The Brigade will work through various sections like the Youth wing, Women’s wing etc. The Brigade is a non-political organisation operating under the guidance of heads of various religious institutions in the State. We have planned to strengthen the organisation by organising a membership drive in every district. The organisation has decided to adopt 2 students who have completed second PUC from each college across the state and will provide them further education, he added.

While media persons questioned about the Brigades Karnataka in-charge Muralidhar Rao issuing a warning to Eshwarappa and asking him to stay away from the brigades activities, Doddayya said that Eshwarappa has never been involved as a member in the brigade activities. When we invited him, he just attended and guided us. Many political leaders are also involved in various organisations what is wrong in that? Even Muralidhar Rao is actively involved in more than 20 organisations. Our goal is straight we never play any political or electoral role, but keep working to create awareness to unite and organise the backward classes and Dalits to ensure socio-political justice, he added.

Brigade office bearers Pradeep Haveri, Anand Shet, Mahesh Poojary, Chethan Vittalkar were present in the press meet.
