Excise Department Destroys 400 Ltrs Raw Material for Illicit Liquor
Mangaluru: On the direction of the joint commissioner of Excise department Shailaja Kote, the officers of the Excise department conducted raids at Inoli and seized 400 liters of raw material used to make country liquor here on April 17.
Based on the information from reliable sources, the excise department in at Inoli, across the Netravati River destroyed four hundred liters of raw material stored in 2 barrels for making illicit liquor. The police are searching for the accused.
A case has been registered under section 32, 34 13 of Karnataka Excise Act 1965.
On the directions of Joint Commissioner of the Excise department, Shailaja Kote and the able direction of Superintendent of Mangaluru Excise Division Vinod Kumar and able guidance of deputy Superintendent Mangaluru Division Shivaprasad the raid was conducted by the Excise Inspectors Seema, Vijayakumar, Sub Inspectors Jagannath Naik, Pratibha G, Manohar, and staff.
