Excise department raids Country Inn hotel Manipal
Udupi: The Excise department raided the Country Inn and Suits hotel owned by the former MLA of Udupi on Saturday, August 27 night.
According to sources the excise department cops raided the hotel on Saturday and sealed the bar and restaurant for violating the building guidelines. The department later warned the Hotel Authorities, no case has been registered in this regard.
Country Inn & Suites, a Unit of Carlson Hotels was inaugurated on January 17 this year by Union Minister Ananath Kumar on the day before the Pejawar Shree Vishwesha theertha Swamiji’s Paryaya. Former deputy prime minister L K Advani, Andra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and other state ministers had attended the Inauguration programme.
