Extortion and Blackmailing case, Police Custody of Sam Peter Extended till Sept 2
Mangaluru: The court has extended the police custody of prime accused in the extortion and blackmailing case, Sam Peter posing as NCIB Director, for nine more days on August 23.
For further investigations, CBI and Interpol teams have also reached Mangaluru.
On August 16, the Mangaluru East police arrested Sam Peter along with 7 of his associates in a lodge in Pumpwell where they were plotting to commit a crime.
The court had given five days police custody to all the 8 including Sam Peter from Kerala, Mohiddin from Mangaluru, Abdul Latif from Mangaluru, T K Bhopanna from Madikeri, Chinnappa Virajpet, Madan from Bengaluru, Sunil Raju Kanakapur and Kodandaram from Bengaluru.
On August 23, the Police custody of the Prime accused Sam Peter was extended for another 9 days.
