Family decides to donate organs of brain dead Himanshu
Udupi: The family of Himanshu Rao the brain-dead youth has decided to donate his organs on October 9 to keep him alive through others.
Himanshu Rao, a 16-year-old student had suffered serious injuries after the KTM bike in which he was riding pillion skidded at Manipal near Ganapathi Temple on Saturday, October 8, killing the bike rider Harshith Shirva on the spot. Himanshu was seriously injured and rushed to a Private Hospital in Manipal.
Himanshu Rao was declared brain-dead on Sunday, October 9. Himanshu’s family members decided to donate his organs. The organs will be shifted to Bengaluru through a green corridor on October 10 morning. The process will start from morning 3 am at the KMC Hospital Manipal.
