Family Donates Vital Organs of Brain Dead Hardhik Raj
Mangaluru: Hardhik Raj (24), a resident of Pachanady, who met with an accident in Vamanjoor on August 6, was being treated in the Intensive Care Unit. Early morning on August 8 he was declared brain dead. The family members donated Hardhik’s vital organs to others so that Hardhik can live through them.
His vital organs like the kidneys and liver have been donated. The members of the Zonal Co-ordination Committee of Karnataka reached the hospital at 7:30 pm and are preparing to transport and transplant the organs.
Hardhik Raj had met with an accident on August 6 and was pronounced brain dead. But his other organs were functioning normally. Many people are in need of such organs to live. Some people donate their family member’s vital organs to others. Hardhik Raj’s family too decided to donate his organs to give life to others.
The liver will be transported to Bengaluru and the Kidney’s will be transplanted to patients in Mangaluru. All arrangements have been made for zero traffic during the transportation of organs to the airport. From there, the organs will be flown by a chartered flight to Bengaluru at 11 pm.
